Key Features:

  1. Adheres to Safety Integrity Level-4 (SIL-4) standards, ensuring robust safety measures.
  2. Alerts train operators of approaching ‘red signals’ and automatically applies brakes if necessary to prevent overshooting.
  3. Enables emergency SoS messaging capabilities.
  4. Includes centralized monitoring of train movements through the Network Monitor System.
  5. The Indian Railways Institute of Signal Engineering & Telecommunications (IRISET) in Secunderabad, Telangana hosts the ‘Centre of Excellence’ for Kavach.
