- In October 2023, the Railway Protection Force successfully brought together more than 601 lost or at-risk children with their families through the ‘Nanhe Faristey’ operation on Indian Railways.
About Nanhe Faristey
- To rescue and safeguard children in need of care and protection who are encountered by the railway system.
- Trained personnel rescue children who have come to railway stations without informing their parents, often due to family issues or in search of a better life.
- Children rescued under this program are promptly reunited with their families after being transferred to the relevant authorities.
